Doctor Who Made Critical Error Not Facing Any Criminal Charges

GILBERT, ARIZONA (July 5, 2026) – A toddler was found alive in the morgue at Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Medical Center after a near-drowning accident.

Gilbert officials are saying that the accident occurred in the backyard of a home around 5:30 PM on February 8. A toddler reportedly fell into the pool and was floating face down for approximately 10 minutes.

The child was rushed to the hospital in serious condition. A doctor pronounced the child dead at 6:20 PM. He ordered nurses to stop performing life-saving measures, and several nurses were reportedly left the emergency room crying.

The boy was later transported to the ward. Around midnight, staff for the medical examiner arrived to move the body and noticed that the young boy was still breathing.

That boy was airlifted back to the hospital. Authorities have declined to press any criminal charges against the doctor who made the error at the hospital.

A full investigation remains ongoing.
